Here we’ll be exploring the exciting terms and conditions of using our website – TechDetective.com (“the/this site”). Including great hits like intellectual property, legal disclaimers, and discovering the meaning of life.
Please read these terms carefully before using this site. By accessing it, you agree to these T&C’s and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree to one of these, please inform us via pigeon mail. Be warned any disagreement may be taken as an offense – which may result in us challenging you to a duel.
For those of you lucky enough to be 13 or under, this site isn’t for you. It’s for the people who probably paid for the device you’re reading this on! If you are underage, we have spoken to fellow kids who say “yo fam, this site is whack. Check out these lit vids on YouTube instead“. In other words, please don’t use our site.
We’re here for two things – to provide super helpful tech advice, and chew bubble gum. But we’re all out of gum.
We work hard to create the highest quality content we can. You shouldn’t represent that our advice and info is your own, for any purpose. That being said, you are free and welcome to share our content (sharing is caring, after all) – but you must openly give credit to us as the original source.
You should also not use any bots, tools, or miniature crabs to crawl, scrape, or generally export information from this site without our express permission. You also shouldn’t do anything which threatens the health of the site (i.e. attacking us with large amounts of requests, or attempting to hack in to our control panel). This will be taken as a declaration of all-out war, for which we are prepared.
We hope to encourage a community around TechDetective, and we encourage everyone to take part in discussing the content and leaving us feedback. All comments made are public, and we share your comments or use them in our content.
If you’re mean, aggressive, or generally abusive in your comments, we will still read them. Afterwards we will write out an angry response, think better of ourselves, and then delete your comment instead.
This site is ours. Not yours, not your uncle’s, and it definitely doesn’t belong to little Jenny’s from school. It’s ours, and we reserve all rights to it.
We are just one of many wonderful websites out there on the internet. We will occasionally link to other sites, but contrary to popular belief we do not run all of the other websites on the internet. We only link to these sites, and you can choose to access them independently. Each are subject to their own (way more boring) legal pages.
Please do not take any of our content as ‘professional advice’. While we do our best to provide the most accurate and helpful content that we can, we are just a blog on the internet.
