But until the people over a Waze’s HQ rework the app so it doesn’t change routes automatically, this is the next best solution.

2. Select “Start Drive”
3. Once the route has been calculated, tap on the section where the ETA, drive time, and distance are displayed
4. Scroll to the bottom of the new menu and tap on the gas pump icon
5. Select a gas station halfway through your destination and start driving
