And as annoying as it was, what if I told you that, as a grown-up, you can now use that dreaded feature to stop HBO Max from asking you who’s watching?

As you probably know, this feature blocks all adult content from children’s profiles and prevents them from accessing anything inappropriate by using a secret code. But what you might not know, is that parental control on HBO Max also keeps kids from switching between profiles.

That’s right, you can create your own kid profile and set parental controls on that account to keep the platform from asking who’s watching.
“But won’t that block all the content I can now, as an adult, access”? Not if you set the profile up properly.
You see, when you set the parental controls, HBO Max allows you to establish your “child’s” age, so that, if they’re a teen, they can access more content, while still being blocked from adult shows.
By taking advantage of this age feature, you can set your hypothetical child’s age to +18 years old, thus allowing you to access all content on the platform while preventing the system from logging you out of that profile without the secret PIN.
